Yay!!! You have made the decision to look into intimate waxing a little closer. We understand it can be really scary and intimidating when revealing yourself to a complete stranger, so here is a quick video from our waxing queen Chrissy so you can get to know her a little better and learn about the types of waxes we use. ❤️

Which option will best suit you?

Intimate waxing can be really confusing so we have gone into detail to ensure you know exactly what to expect.

The Bikini wax is designed to tidy up all the hair that sits outside of your underwear line (briefs). Your individual hair growth will dictate just how much is removed but generally your inner and lower thighs (around to the back) will be waxed during your appointment. If you are new to waxing the bikini wax can be a great place to start.

The G-String wax removes quite a bit more hair as the top of the pubic bone, your inner and lower thigh area will all be waxed. At Sassy Minx we also include the anus which you can opt out of if you wish.

Our most popular service is the Brazilian. This will leave you totally hair free from the front to the back, including your inner lips and anus. (Anus can be an opt out if you wish.)

Common Questions Answered 👇🏻

Some degree of uncomfortability is expected as you are having the hair removed from the root.

This can be eased by taking a panadole 30 minutes prior to your appointment or if you are really concerned the chemist stock Emla a numbing cream (apply 30 minutes prior and notify your waxing professional)

We also offer everyone the option to use the numbing spray we do have in-store for your convenience.

Many can’t believe just how little pain they experienced and often wonder why they put it off for so long.

In order to effectively remove the hairs they need to be 1 cm long. We recommend not shaving for 3 weeks before your first waxing appointment (scary we know, but it will be totally worth it)

Ingrown hairs are cause by hair being trapped by the skin when they begin to grow back. The best  way to avoid them is to exfoliate before your appointment and weekly thereafter. The use of ingrown hair removal products can also be beneficial.

In short No. We do not recommend waxing whilst on your period as you may experience higher pain response due to the amount of hormonal activity in the body at that time.

Where possible it is always recommended to have a warm shower before your waxing appointment as it opens up the hair follicle and also leaves you feeling fresh and clean.

At your appointment you will also be provided with a personal wipe to freshen up if you can not shower directly beforehand.

For your first appointment we recommend you wear loose fitting clothing as you may be a little sensitive for the first 10 minutes after waxing.

During your waxing appointment you can wear whatever you are comfortable in (own underwear, disposable g string or nude).

If you have been shaving prior to your first time waxing you can expect the hairs to begin growing back within the first 3 weeks, to reset your hair growth pattern this will be a process. It is recommended that you book your follow up appointment 4 weeks after your first. Your hair will begin to change after your very first appointment, growing softer and less in areas.

After your third visit most guests drop back to 6 weekly appointments as they see massive results so quickly.

Everybody is different, which is why we have our own, in salon techniques for all body shapes.
